Might be worth going on the HAREN / HARAN forum at - http://genforum(.)genealogy.com/ - remove brackets. There is someone there researching the Haran family from Co.Sligo

Wanting to know how to trace my grandfather Thomas Haran born 1871 in Coolaney, Co.Sligo, Ireland. He left Ireland between 1911 and 1920 and went to America possibly Philadelphia and wasant heard from after that. I have searched the Ellis Island records and have written to the Archives in America with no success -dont know where to go from here.
