I have a couple of 1841 ancestors to trace - at least one of them would be in London at the time: Harison COCK born late 18th century (1st marriage 1808) wife Sarah died, possibly the 1st quarter of 1841 - so he'll probably show up as a widower (except that they don't always record that in 1841?). On the other hand he married Lucretia ADAMS, née HUKE 21 Jun 1841, St John, Wapping. (doesn't seem to have hung around!) He was a coal merchant and potato dealer and seems to have lived at 208 Wapping High St. One son, James COCKS (with the S, unlike his father), was b Dec 1818 in Spitalfields and became a 'mariner' - he was a widower by 1853. I don't particularly expect him to be there - but I do expect Harison to be there. Christine
