It seems my family have dissapeared of the face of the earth. Several people have done searches for me and I'm subscribed to ancestry myself and I can't find them. I have my ggg grandfather David Noble in 1861 working in pub in Shifnal, Shropshire. At least I think it's him. I have him b 1807. His son Thomas Noble b 1836, is also living in Shropshire with his wife Hannah and their kids, they live in Dawley. The reason I presume it's David in Shifnal is that his name is on Thomas marriage certificate, they were married in Shropshire in 1854, I suppose I could be wrong. The thing is, I can't find any of them on the 1851 census, I don't know what David's wife's name was. I know thomas had a sister called Anne and her name is also on the marriage certificate, I also know that she married the other witness as I found them on the 1861 census and a marriage date which was the year after Thomas and Hannah. Thomas was born in Bramham, Yorkshire, I would presume that David was born around the same area. Don't know what to do next, I can't move on with my research boohoo. Anyone got any ideas? Ria |

Thanks Tracy but this isn't them, david is the father of Thomas and Anne. I've just looked at thomas marriage certificate and it says that David's trade was a Brewer, I have him as a brewer in 1861 so i'm sure it's him. this makes david's year of birth approx 1807. Ria |

I think Thursland may be Thurstonland? ... Which is nowhere near Bramham. Christine |

Hi Christine, yes I've seen this family and wondered if it could be them. The Anne has the wrong date of birth and thomas isn't there either...grrrr...lol...you can see why I've come to a dead stop. noone has been able to find anyone on the 1841 census either. Ria :) |
