Received this e-mail today LDS Family History Library has announced that it has begun the process of digitizing and making available on the Internet all of the Family History books in their collection. About 5000 books have been digitized and are available, and they have announced that they are adding about 100 titles a week to the on-line collection Go to the web site of the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU, http://www.lib.byu*edu/ From the list of collections that are displayed, choose: 'Find Other Materials' 'Electronic' 'On Line Collections at BYU' Choose the TAB 'Text Collections' And, finally, 'Family History Archive' Change * to. Hope it will be of use to someone Elaine

I tried to follow instructions- and almost made it! got lost after 'electronic', and 'Online Collections at BYU'. I couldn't find a tab for 'text collections' - did try putting 'family history archives' into search box that came up - with no result. Any further instructiions, please. Rosi It does look potentially a really useful site.

Rosi, I have just done it, the tab you are looking for is along the top inder on-line collections. There are 5 tabs, the one you want is next to the end. Gloria x

How very odd. When I click 'Online collections at BYU' up comes a selection of 6 pictures, in the middle of the page, ranging from campus photographs to religious education archive. There are no tabs at the top of the page. There area list of related links and other online collections to the right of the page - including one for 'Mountain West Digital Library'. However, none seems to be what I am loking for but cannot find, but you can! Senility is galloping in - I'll go and make a cuppa! Rosi :(

The link that Jo left should take you straight to the search page to save you going through all the other bits, good luck and mine's 2 sugars Elaine

I'm having problems, don't get illegal message but after putting a search in and then clicking on a page at the side it stays in loading mode when in adobe and doesn't time out either Elaine

Hi Elaine I just had a look through. Nothing there for me at the moment, but it just shows what can be done. I'll just have to wait a bit longer Thanks for the tip Elly
