My MIL was a Nancy but was always called Ann. In fact I didn't know she was Nancy till I started this and sent for her birth certificate. Linda |

My Gt Uncle was married to a Nancy - I later found out that her proper name was Annie Elizabeth - So if I were you I'd definatley send for the cert. |

I can only think of Swallows and Amazons, where Nancy was Ruth and Peggy was Margaret. |

in my book of names it says Nancy see Ann but it can be a name on its own too. it says Nan, Nanny,Nancy are variants of Anita, Annette and Anona. Jeanette |
