If it's the language that's the problem, it might be worth changing the wording of your thread-label to something along the lines of: Anyone read Dutch/Flemish? - need help Dutch and Flemish are practically the same - use the same language dictionaries. (A bit like German and Austrian). There are probably some local variations, and local vocab, but if you can read one, then you can read the other. If you can speak German and can guess how the Flemish is pronounced, sometimes you can get a long way by speaking the words aloud and listening to the result. It sounds peculiar, but sometimes your eyes don't see a resemblance that your ears can hear. Some of their words are quite close to English when spoken aloud. Christine |
