Having created the image, open it, click on file, choose 'save as' and see if the options include pdf. |

You can't convert into PDF from another format unless you buy (v expensive) Adobe software. The easiest thing to do, would be to send it in JPG or GIF format, which most people can access. Why do they want it sending in PDF? lol |

I'm not a techie, so if that don't work, you'll need someone who knows what they're talking about. |

I have no idea why they want it in .PDF format. But I'm not about to pay to be able to do ! I never really thought about what type files are to be honest. I'll scan it then just attatch it to an email as I would normally have done. I just needed to know it wasn't something easy I could do !! Thank-you Both Esta x |

Copy to document, go to document, right click, send to recipient. That's what i do when i'm sending to anyone. Micheal. |

I know this is a bit old but I just came across this topic! If you want to make a PDF file, there's no need to buy Adobe software. Go to http://www.pdffactory.com/ and you can download a free PDF writer. It installs onto your computer as a 'virtual' printer. So when you want a PDF file you send the original document to the pdf factory 'printer' , save the result, and then do what you want with it. I use it often and it works a treat. |

Thanks from me too! I've just downloaded the free trial version of the PDF thingy, as well as a very useful-looking download that saves printer ink (ideal for all those census pages!). I checked the reasoning behind sending a PDF file with hubby, and he says that it is very secure because it can't be altered so easily as other files (you need to have the necessary software, and you can also password-protect PDF files).
