I'm about to copy this over to Records Board - just in case someone there can help and they don't visit this board. Christine

Could you have a look for this family: as in 1851 at Briar Cottage, Farringdon, Hampshire: Eli Christmas abt 1807 East Worldham, Hampshire, England Head grocer Mariann R Christmas abt 1821 East India British Subject, Calcutta, India Wife <<< Henry P Christmas abt 1837 Farnham, Surrey, England Son James Christmas abt 1839 Lymington, Hampshire, England Son Thomas W Christmas abt 1841 Basingstoke, Hampshire, England Son Ann Christmas abt 1845 Farrington, Hampshire, England Daughter Edwin Christmas abt 1848 Farrington, Hampshire, England Son In the space <<<, there may also be (not at home in 1851): Eliza bap 1835 Farnham (i.e. prob not in county) - age abt 5-6 William Thomas b April 1833 Portsdown (i.e. in county) age 8 Charlotte bap August 1831 Alton (i.e. in county) age 9-10 Ann bap July 1829 Alton (i.e. in county) age 11-12 In particular, I think the wife will be different - Ann (nee FOSTER), possibly aged 31 (presumably '30' for the 1841 census), but... was she born in the county or not? I don't think she is the same person as Marianne in 1851, but I need to pin down some info. They may not be in Farringdon in 1841 - looking at the births, they seem to have been in Basingstoke at around the relevant time. Don't get squiffy-eyed looking on my account. I can always add it to my tasks for when I do a major raid on the Hampshire Records Office one day! Christine
