Have spent ages looking for this family - have them in 1861 and 1881 but can't find any of them in 1851 or 1871. Will add their details below, so please bear with me! Thanks to anyone who can shed any light! Maz. XX

There's a Mary Ann Simpson, granddaughter, living with grandfather George Simpson in St. Nicholas Olave, in 1851. Her age is given as one and three quarters. Birthplace given as Shorditch, which isn't too far from Poplar. Can't find the rest of them, so this one might not be yours. Kath. x

No, Maz. My Bell's are all from Northumberland as far as I know - they are my husband's lot. Kath. x

Sorry Maz, Just updated my earlier reply to show occupation for John before I realised that you had seen my post. Fingers crossed it is the right family. Not found them on 1871. I have more rellies missing on 1871 than any other census. Maureen

Kathleen - never mind, it was worth a try lol! Maureen - that is definitely them - thank you! I am trying to find the link between this Hannah snr and my 3 x gt grandparents - she is shown in 1901 as 'cousin' - the fact that her mother in law is born in Hunts is a big help - reckon the relationship is between Hannah's m-i-law and my 3 x gt grandmother, who was also born in Hunts! thank you again!
