1861 Census on Ancestry - no search box?

For some reason, there is no search box on 1861 census on Ancestry................. or is just me? |

Lynne, When I click on 1861 census, all I'm getting is a list of counties. Click on a county and then its a (very long!) list of parishes. Click on a parish and its just the original pages of the parish starting from page 1. The normal box that comes up (on all the other censuse) where you put in the name, place of birth etc. just isn't there! Gawd this is frustrating ...... lol! Bev x |

Beginning to feel like I'm going mad .................... I've tried just doing a general search of all the censuses to gain access to 1861, but it's not coming up. All the other censuses are, just not 1861. Bev x |

Bev Try a search on 1871 and when the results appear change 1871 to 1861 in the address bar at the top. See if this will work for you Pam |
