Found this * ST JOSEPHS INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL FOR ROMAN CATHOLIC GIRLS, VICTORIA PARK, MANCHESTER, LANCASHIRE. Certified 4th August 1871 when at Grindlow House, Longsight, the at Richmond Grove (Convent of the Good Shepherd), where it was certified 20th August 1881. Re-certified 1884 for 150/160 girls at Victoria Park. Cessation of certification or closure August 1922. Think I found a relie in St Josephs Girls Industrial School, in Manchester, 25 girls living in, age range 10 / 14, any tips on what the school taught / promoted. |
