Hi new Cuz!! Just about to mail you when I saw your name on here!! If it's John and Kate, then I can see them in 1901 - John is down as Mauderley, age 28. If its your 'other side' lol then I have no idea as I don't have their names!!! Will try and send you that e-mail now - have got the proof that we are definitely related and can confirm Amelia's father's name and place of birth for you!!! Maz. XX

Or their name just hasnt been indexed. Have been looking for my grandad & his first wife & two children, just couldnt find them no matter how much we played with his name. My cousin finally found them by trawling around the Hackney area & surrounding districts & there they were in shoreditch!! no problem on their names as the original census form was clearly & neatly written. Took hours tho she said!!. Shirley

Kathlyn, you're probably doing nothing wrong. It's highly likely they're mis-transcribed.

I have tried to find the 1901 cunsus returns for the whereabouts of my grandparents, I have tried every combination of name spelling and place spelling, but they are nowhere to be found. Please what am I doing wrong????? Sane, at the moment, Kathlyn
