I've gotten as far as I think I can get using ancestry and the igi on one of my lines, earliest birth date 1751. Where do I go next, besides other lines?

Apart from parish registers, county records offices have a wealth of documents in which your relatives might feature. You could try searching them by name, or searching on the name of their birthplace on the a2a (google to find) site. This will give you a brief idea of indexed documents and where you can find the originals. nell
