Hi Merry, Sorry about the delay, been to Tesco! I understand your initial message now. I didn't realise that this could be done so thanks for the tip! Helen x

You are right that it isn't on the Search page of FreeBMD. ie it has not yet been transcribed and added......... But the GRO index page image is free to view by following the instructions I gave in the earlier post.....(see above!) I use that method all the time when I only need to search one or two quarters for something, but those quarters are not yet transcribed by FreeBMD. I probably wouldn't use it for long drawn out searches as it's a bit slow, but enjoy thinking about all the 10p's saved!!! (bit of a miser, really lol) Merry

I have hubby's great grandparents down on my tree as being married in 1906. I could have sworn I had this info from Freebmd but it must have been Family Relatives. I desperately need to order the certificate now and stupidly never made a note of the no. when I last looked. The marriage is between Samuel Nelmes & Alice Williams (maiden name Earwicker) in 1906, in I believe Bristol. I'd really appreciate the look up if anyone has a spare credit. Many Thanks Helen
