Hi I think my GG Grandmother Eliza Parish was in the Female Penitentiary in Plymouth c1881. Can I obtain a record of her details and why she was in there?? If so does anybody know where I might get this information?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Vanessa :0) |

Gaol registers should be in the county records office. I got a photocopies of the entries of several relatives from 1830-1862 in Gloucester gaol. The entry gives the date they were admitted, a detailed description, info about their crime and trial and how they behaved, as well as their home parish & religion. nell |
