Hi Thanks to those who gave me suggestions on how to get my father`s dad in, trouble is, father was illegitimate, but I wanted to show hiw father & wife & family, this has been done, trouble is though, according to the view shown, he is partner of my father`s mother, although he never married her, it looks as though from the tree that he did! hope this will not cause any problem or upset, should anyone view it. who is a descendant of the father! But it seems that this s the only way I can include him on the tree. I wish when these trees were designed, the makers would allow for such items as illegtimate births, where we want a father to be indicated, but not as a partner I have the same problem on my maternal side also, the father had three illegitimate children born to the sister of the woman he eventually married! I could show the children, but cannot include the mother (except in notes) otherwise she will be shown as a wife, but this was not so, It would be a good idea if the makers of trees would consult with descendants as to the way we wish the tree to be displayed, don`t you think so? or am I beeing too unrealistic?

Although I understand where you're coming from, let me add this to the equation... When the child was conceived, the man and woman were partners. Therefore, when referring to parents of said child, they will show together.
