I've just renewed with them (yes and I did get the offer!!) and I can't believe we don't get access to the OneWorld Tree as UK subscribers (just the world tree). Does America not think that the rest of the world is not just America. Perhaps it should be named The United States World of America Tree, for United States of America subscribers! I've always thought we are on a different planet! Jacquie |

Oh dear, chuck. You aren't having a very good time of it at the moment are you? Yes, it should be renamed as quite clearly we would all fall off the edges of the universe if we set foot outside the US!! |

Not sure if I have the right section you want, but can you not access it from Ancestry(.)com. I find that it recognises me and allows me to open the One Tree section and enter data. JoJo |

Heather my membership ran out in August, yet it let me have the discount i.e Ancestry knew who I am. That is so unfair if it won't let you have a discount too. Let me know what happens. Jo Jo re ancestry (.) (com) it will let me add my one world tree entries but expects me to 'upgrade' to view any! Jacquie |

Jacquie, did not go any further than to put a name in. I have noticed before that some people join the American site as better value and gives all the UK things. Heather as I said in an earlier post I was advised by Ancestry that they would cancel my membership after I complained about it being cheaper for new subscribers. In the same mail it told me to re-join when I wanted. I then re-joined and a day later and got the discount. JoJo |

Have you seen worldconnect section on rootsweb. It's free, and I think it has pretty much the same info as Ancestry. |

Heather...... i did the same thing and they didn't want to know, were adamant it was for new subscribers only, trouble was they never sent me a reminder and automatically took the money from my credit card, so i couldn't cancel and start again......... but i emailed the editor of the magazine giving the offer, he said a lot of people had mentioned this and to leave it with him, a few weeks later i get an email from Ancestry giving me an extra 3 months free, so got a result in the end !! good luck Jane x |
