How do we find information about gT Grandad, his name was Joseph Webb, and in 1916 he left my gt Grandmother and ran away with a young girl who was working in the same place as him, we don't know her name , they ran away to Farringdon, In 1917/1918 he was sentenced with the woman he lodged with a Florence Lewis with concealment of her still born baby's body, Florences husband had been we don't know who the father of the baby was, killed at the front, we are pretty certain that Florence was not he girl he ranawy with, Joseph and Florence served 12months hard labour, then he had another daughter called Patience but we don't know when or who her mother was this must have been bwt 1921/1932, he then left Patience and her mother and met another woman and had two more daughters , Joseph died 1962. Gt Granny was determined not to divorce him but whether Joseph divorced her we have checked but have not found any information as yet. How do we fill in the gaps , any advice would great. Thanks

Do you have his death cert? Does it say who registered the death? That might give some clues but there's not a lot else to go on. Sue
