hi all, i know you have probably heard all this before, but a few weeks ago someone from this site contacted me about an ancester in my tree asking if there was a connection, it seems one of my ancesters married one of this persons ancesters, we swopped some info, then i was asked if i was a direct descendent, which i said i was'nt! but was a third or fourth cousin so many times removed [can't remember which now!] never heard a word since!! a polite email to say 'sorry' wouldn't take 2 seconds!! no! i didn't let them see my tree! chris.
