Hi All Im looking for (and cringing when i write this) Ellen Wemyss Nicholson. Born c1860, married in newcastle in 1879. In the census images she states she was born in newcastle, yet i can find no reference to her before her marriage. her father listed is Christopher Nicholson, who was a glass maker. Thanks ever so much Monty for the offer, but its too late for what i need. |

Hi Margaret Was that 1871 Scotland that you checked for me? i have no idea of her mothers name, all i know is what came from her marriage cert. Just her father listed as Christopher. Maybe the one on 1881 could be her brother and also maybe the name she put down? My nan had no dad so put her grandads name (i think it was him, or possibly and uncle) Im trying to find her death at the moment to see if that gives me any kind of extra info. I know so many people shake their heads now when i mention her name, but she is only my great grandmother and i cant go back any further. |
