Sorry everyone, I honestly do know better now, but when I started this I wasn’t as wise and wily – so my problem is this: A marriage ref for THOMAS BUTLIN and ELIZA STURMAN – all I have is Dec Qtr 1865, Kettering – thing is I now can find hide nor hare of it on FreeBMD, Ancesty or 1837!!!!!!!!! Please can someone tell me if I was originally hallucinating or what the rest of it is? I have both their births, all their children, but having come back to this line after a break because I’d hit a brick wall, I thought I’d check what I’d got and order a couple of certs. and now find I only have half the ref!!!! Somebody take pity on a poor old soul whose losing her marbles?!?!?! Thanks Trudy

Hi Trudy Sorry I can't find them either - I can only find 1 marriage on Kettering for Thomas Butlin and that is to an Ann SHARMAN Mar q 1870 ref 3b 180. Bit of a mystery, eh? Vera

Suppose this is just a red-herring?? Name: Iliffe, Harry B_tlin Record Type: Marriages Quarter: December Year: 1891 District: Kettering County: Northamptonshire Volume: 3b Page: 431 presume his middle name is Butlin? One of the possible spouses is Eliza Sturman........ Merry

When you checked it on 1837online, were you feeling all cross??? Did you remember to change the search criteria to Marriages instead of the default, Births?????????? Merry
