Welsh Regiment (enlistment details)

My father enlisted into theWelsh Regiment in 1918. My problem is, would he have to give details of his father's birth place, and date of birth. His father is getting hard to find as he gives different ages and place of birth on different census. Have searched Ancestry & bmd, but cannot find that vital link. John |

It would be unusual for those details of his father. You might if you can get his army record find that he has listed his fathers address at the time in case anything happened to him. Good Luck |
