Where can I find the 1891 census for Canada - if t

I am trying to find some relatives who emigrated to Canada. I believe they were in Montreal in 1891 and would like to check the census for them. The husband died in 1899 and I have been unable to trace the wife and children on 1901, I know some of the children were alive at the time. Also does anyone know how I check for birth, marriage and deaths in Canada? This is my first foray into looking for overseas relatives and basically haven't got a clue. Thanks, Jenny
