Apologies if this site has been mentioned before - but its such a good site I thought it worth putting up here. Thanks for this site. Have found pictures of my ancestor's villages in Notts. I have wanted to see them as I live too far away to visit and have often wondered what they were like. Regards Christine

Hi Kate Isn't it a brilliant site. I have loads of ancestors from Nottingham and found pictures of the streets where my Grandma and Grandad were born. Also good for Nottingham Churches. Lin

Hi Kate, You're right - it is a fascinating website! I have only had a little scoot through so far, and have found the very street that my maternal G-G-G-grandfather lived in in Ockbrook, Derbyshire. As most of my mother's ancestors came from either Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire, this site will keep me happy for ages! Have bunged it onto my 'favourites'. Well spotted...........! Thanks Kate I have used a site www.leodis.net which gives old pictures of Leeds. My ancestors come from Derby and Notts so it was great to see some of the villages they came from. Thanks again.
