so frustrating - I had similar problem this week too. Two wifes, same daughter and needed to delete one daughter from one mother - eventually deleted one daughter only from wrong mother - gave up - made note on wrong mothers details. What I couldn't understand was that I had not given the daughter and her husband any children yet. But it still would not let me delete as there were still family connections!!

Thanks Lynne i've just downloaded it from LDS ,but i'll have to put peeps on tomorrow now because i'm soooo fed up with it all!! Marion, it won't let me delete her son,his son then his daughter then me!!! so i'm thinking of giving up,and i was doing so well with it all as well Nicky.x

Nicky make sure you have a copy of everthing...just incase. I had my granny on twice when I first started. I thought it would be ok lol. I finally manged to delete her but in doing so had to delete all her sibling's and parents then, add them back on. Marion

AAARRRGGGGGG!!!!!! Have managed to delete my brother/partners/kids etc,cannot delete parents or grandparents. Managed to change the lady's details that was causing the problem..........or so i thought!! going checking back on it now she is still showing as herself and her daughter, tree will not allow me to delete anyone else,i can not delete her or her husband or her as her daughter!! when i change her details to her daughters....mothers change as well. am i making any sense???? it's driving me mad Nicky.xx

Nicky You cant delete your brother did you say? cause if he has kids, you will need to delete them first....I think. Marion

Nicky Sorry, I don't know about deleting people on here as I have my own FT programme and uplaod it. It is never a good idea to just enter your family tree on here as it is not 'user friendly'. You need a family tree programme so you can enter your details in there and then upload it to GR. You can download a free one called PAF (I think) from the LDS website if you do not have one. Hope this helps. Lynne

i've deleted loads now :-( but it won't let me delete myself therefore can't delete my mother and so on, and this is where the mistake is my mothers ggrandmother!! HELP!! sore fingers now lol Nicky.x

Oh my goodness!! my tree is such a mess now :-(( I've tried with the old tree program as well,but i can't seem to sort it out now, I've never had problems adding to it before and yes i know which buttons to press lol but now they are on there i can't seem to get rid of them. I did start deleting children from the bottom but it just won't let me delete any more,i cannot delete my brothers or either one of my parents so i'm really stuck. I think GR need a better system for deleting if you should make a mistake which is clearly what i've done,and i've far too many people on there to start again. any more ideas please Nicky.x

this probably sounds daft but I had some problems the other day with the new tree ,so I went to my old tree programme and it worked fine and it does update on both trees old and new automatically, maybe you could try that, although it does sound like you have major problems

I've now tried to delete some so as to work my way back up through my tree,but that's not working either! Nicky :-((

Is anyone else having problems?? I thought i would add some rellies to my tree because i had a spare 10 mins LOL As i've added a parents details they are also comming up as siblings and i can't delete them so i thought i would just change for siblings details but it's getting completely bonkers, I now have one person who is herself her mother and her sister!!! I've never had problems like this before.......please help Nicky :-(
