An Olde Crone | Report | 14 Sep 2005 22:53 |
I have been struck by the number of my ancestors born in the 1700s, who have never died! Even given that the LDS do not normally film deaths, most of the PRs I have looked at, do in fact cover all the death years. But of 107 people born in one Parish, I can only bump off about 50, even taking in surrounding Parishes. And what am I to make of the Vicar, who confidently writes against the burial of a man in 1737 'An hundred and thirty seven years old - a great aydge'. Indeed he was. Olde Crone |

When do you ever bore us, Jess? What a shame that it would prove virtually impossible to check the accuracy of all those years of birth. |
