How can I find her date of birth and her parents

Have just found my great Grandmother and grandfathers marriage date and her maiden name, how can I now find her date of birth and her parents names? Her name was Harriett (hanna) Briggs married Herbert Melluish in 1891 in Sheffield. Any top tips appreciated - I'm new to all this and finding it hard going at times but have managed to trace another branch of the family back over from my own children to their great great great great grandparents - but a bit stuck with this side!! Just wondered if there are any tips I should know about Thanks Jo |

You now know her maiden name & her dads name.Hopefully her age is shown on the marriage cert so this will give you an approx year of birth. see if you can find the family on the 1881 census ,on Family seerch website & also see if you can get anything on FreeBMD. Shirley |

You really need to send for the cert to find her fathers name., Then look in earlier census jess |
