4a in that era covers Suffolk and Essex. 4b covers Norfolk. The nearest registration districe name I can find is Orsett in Essex. Nothing similar in Norfolk. |

Do you mean this place is written on the cert as part of an address, or is the name of a registration district?? If it's part of an address have you looked on Genuki for the details of the full registration district. The olace you are after should be listed...... Merry |

On FreeBMD it's transcribed as Orsett (in Essex) I haven't looked at the original page yet, but Orsett is a 4a district. Merry |

Just looked at the image - I'd go with orsett - the writer doesn't cross his ''T''s much - see Wolverhamlon a bit further down lol Merry |
