I've found a relation in the 81 and 91 census and it says she was born in Kent, no place name. In 1901 it says she was born in Mitcham Surrey. Im trying to find her in 61 and 71 but nothing comes up for Mitcham or Kent. Wondered what to try next. Carole |

Mitcham IS in surrey, she may have given a different birth place at other times especially as maybe she was with someone in 1901 that really didn't know where she was born. What is her name, will have a look for you if you like Jess |

Hi Jess Her married name was Annie Morris. In 91 she is with husband Thomas w Morris and daughter Annie living in Willesden. She appears to have been born abt 1855. I've found a marriage for her in 1878 which gives her name as Annie Pulman. Im trying to trace her family back. Thats all I have to go on. Carole xx |

Cannot find Ann/e or Annie Pulman birth on Ancestry civil reg or familysearch in either Kent or surrey. nell |

Nell I couldn't find a birth for her either. Don't even know if I've got the right person but it was the only marriage I could find of Thomas William Morris to an Annie for right time and place. Carole |

Jess Annie Morris born 1880 Willesden was my ggran. Im trying to trace her family back. Found her with parents Thomas and Annie in 81 and 91. Then thought I'd trace her mother Annie. Found a marriage for her to Thomas w Morris 1887 Hampstead and Annies maiden name was Pulman. The only thing I have to go on from census is that she was born in Kent, then later Mitcham Surrey. Tried searching for Pulmans on Ancestry in 61 and 71 but nothing comes up for Annie for right age, and nothing for Mitcham. Dont know where to go from here. Carole |

Carole Can you find Annie Pulman Morris and Thomas on the 1901 census? Did they have any other children - you might find Annie's surname on that is spelt differently. What is her father's name/occupation on her wedding cert - you could try looking ofr him in 1861 and thus find Annie. nell |

Nell In 1901 Annie and Thomas Morris are alone. They don't appear to have had any more children. Their daughter Annie is married with her own family, I've been able to trace her. I only have daughter Annies marriage cert. It says her father is Thomas Morris a painter by trade. Im trying to trace her mother Annie Pulman born abt 1855. I don't know anything about her other than from the census,she was born Kent/Mitcham Surrey! She must be on the 61 and 71 somewhere but with not knowing anything about her it's a job to know where to start. She's not under Annie Pulman so I wonder if she's mistranscribed. Carole |
