My Genes Reunited Tree Has Turn to Mulch!

I've been tearing my hair out trying to discover why the gedcom I tried to download to my Family Tree Maker from GR shows no connection between ANYONE in my 600 member tree. After trying to sort the problem with the FTM tech support (no help) I now see that when I click on 'show tree' on Genes Reunited, only one person shows up - so it appears that the gedcom that originated from GR is at fault. I tried two days ago to get tech support from GR but received the following message: 'I am sorry for the delay in replying. Please can you send me your file to look at? My email address is [email protected]. I am afraid i am actually about to go on holiday for 2 weeks so I won't be able to look at this until I get back. I hope this is okay.' No, actually, that's not OK! Do they only have one member of technical support staff?? Has anyone else had their tree turn to mulch - and were Genes Reunited able to provide a solution? I really need some reassurance because I'm terribly upset about this. I trusted GR to safeguard my tree and because I'm feeble-minded when it comes to burning disks (once things moved on from floppies I got stumped) I DON'T HAVE A COPY!!!

Sarah when you do get the tree sorted on Familytreemaker 2005, it really is so easy to burn it onto a cd. They do it all for you. Just get a rewritable cd (then you can add to it everytime you update) and click on back up - a little list comes up, click on back up to cd and away it goes - done job. Also click on internet options and the option to have a family home page on the web (remember to click on dont show living members details) again, its just a matter of clicking about 4 times, next and away your stuff goes, saved in cyber space.
