I have credits on Scotlandspeople and have to use the library computer, where I am limited to 1 hour. The other day I wasted 10 credits and accomplished nothing. Could somebody please tell me how to search for any children of a married couple ?????? I have the names and date of the married couple. Thank you, Margaret margaret provided some very pertinent information for me, so I took that and went back to the library to search Scotlandspeople. I found the birth of DAVID PULLAR 01/01/1888 but when I went to view it I couln't see anything....WHY????? I authorized the 5 credits. Shouldn't it show place of birth and parents on the image? I also tried to view a marriage for himin 1913 Paid the credits but no image......What am I doing wrong????? ANY HELP ,PLEASE......I am SOoooooo frustrated. Margaret |

Depends on the time you are looking at. I usually find it is easiest to look for them on census returns first if possible. What are the names and dates. Margaret |

If you have the date of marriage and the couple's ages then look on the cencus and hopefully you will find if they have children |

Hi In 1891 they are living at 12 St Peter's Place Montrose with their 2 year old son David. David was born in Hamilton. I'll have a quick look in 1901 and see what I can find. Margaret |

Hello Margaret, That is a great help, and much appreciated. I will go to the library now and use my Scotlandspeople credits to follow up on their son David, and look for Johns Death. Kind regards, Margaret |

I wish Scotlands People, would bring out a subscription charge a bit like ancestry, with unlimited access and searches. Scotlands People is a great site, but can be quite expensive and your credits disappear very quickly. |
