I have just come across this website which looks as if it could come in handy when looking for old London streets as it will tell you whether they have been renamed or bulldozed. http://members(.)aol(.)com/WHall95037/londond.html Apologies if this is old news to most of you. Sheila

Sheila There's always someone who doesn't know. I have found that lots of lost Victorian streets are listed here; http://www*gendocs*demon*co*uk/lon-str.html and I've found some by googling. Local libraries/history centres can sometimes help with location. I did have a bit of a mare with Charles Street - there are tons of them in the same bit of London - but located it and confirmed the right one by using historical directories online. nell
