Does anyone know of a site that I can visit. I have an ancestor born in Oakham (probably Staffordshire) and would love to know where she would be christened i.e. nearest church/town. This was pre 1837, she is one of my brick walls or a big pain in the rear. Thank you Pat

Hi, I was born in Oakham in Rutland and the main church that dates back centuries is called All Saints. Hope that helps somehow. Di.

Greeting's Patricia..... If it is Oakham Rutland then I might be able to help I have the 1851(Index Only) & 1861 (Full Images) And a Colleague has the 1841. ( Scanned images) for Rutland. So we maybe be able to help you knock your wall down... MIKE.
