Hi, I have found on the 1881 Scottish census that my 2x great grandmother SUSAN DUFFY aged 44 is widowed and living with 2 daughters MARGARET aged 20 and CATHERINE aged 19 at 18 Pole Street, LIFF & Benvie, Forfar. Now I would like to find if her husband FELIX DUFFY died in Forfar. Is there a free site that could help me? Regards, Anne-Marie |

Hi Sheila, Just read what I wrote last time. Duh............. A senior moment I think. Once again many thanks for looking for me. I take it that U 0 and 8 are the ages or lack of them. So the only one it could possibly be would be 1864. Worth thinking about. Thanks Anne-Marie |

Hi Sheila, Yes the Felix DUFFY is the son. He did indeed move to England by the 1891 census. I'm sorry I have no idea when the family arrived in Scotland. The son Felix married in Angus, Dundee 12 May 1886 to Elizabeth Mc Guire. I am waiting for the marriage cert as the digital image was unclear. Although I have not seen it for myself. I wonder if you could please check the 1881 census and see if there is another Susan Duffy. Oh what a puzzler. Bye the way Felix was a plumber. Anne-Marie |
