My grandmother's age was wrong by 5 years on her marriage certificate and by 2 years on her death certificate and headstone, which was confirmed when we finally tracked down her birth certificate. Kath. x |

A coulpe of weeks ago I asked for help finding an Annie Jones for a friend. Some very kind person sent details from the census and Hazel, my friend then took the advice and sent for the sister's marriage certificate. Everything fitted with what was on the census so she is now back on track. We think Annie gave the wrong age when she married and it is also wrong on the grave if the age on the census was correct. Anyway she may be able to track down the birth certificate now. She just wanted me to say thank you to everyone for their help. Jane |
