Hi Cathereine,, The infomation will only be as truthful as the informant giving it,,,, ,name of person..age ,where died,what the occoupation was.what they died of ,if there was an inquest,,the name and address of the informant and if a close family relative,,,and of course date of death,, kay. |

if the person who died is female then it should state her maiden name too, this may give you some clues it does state it on an english certificate hevi |

If your rellie died in Scotland you will get parents' names, and the woman's maiden name, but it won't give you her maiden name if she died in England or Wales. Kate. |

Catherine,, It will tell you on a death certificate from that year if they were a widow or widower;,,or if they are the husband/wife of ?????in most cases,, What you need for the information you are looking for is this persons birth certificate;;;you can roughly work this out from age at death,,,as to when they were born.... kay. |

reply for kay and angie, there has been many a member on this site that has tried in vein to find who i am looking for . i know her madian name from my grandmothers birth cert . but no marraige can be found anywhere for her and my g.grandad i am now presuming they never really got married so all avenues are now blocked regards catherine |
