Hi I've seen a few people offer to look things up on The Times archive, because they ahve the CD. Just wondering fi any of you can tell me how far it dates back to, where you got the CD from and how much it was? Thanks Tracey

Hi Tracey, The Archives are also on the Bedfordshire and Luton Library site . Rather a long address so sholud be able to google. No matter where you live, you can join on line and get a PIN no. which allows you to access their Virtual pages . The pages date from 1700 and something to the present day. Regards Jane

Are you certain they have it on CD?? I have it online via access offered my my local library (free). If you pay to subscribe the sub is in the thousands price bracket!! The time frame I have access to is 1785-1985 and I have a Thread offering lookups on the Record Office Board (search for 'The Times' and you should find it) Sarah

I've managed to get free online access from Luton Library's website. Thanks for your help everyone. For anyone else interested: http://www(.)luton(.)gov(.)uk/internet/leisure_and_culture/libraries/Electronic%20resources That has the link to join Luton Library and the link to the archive.
