Since Graham nearly crashed and had to buy web space ukbdm exchange has become so quiet. When I joined genes and put my family tree online it was free and suddenly I was told to pay whereas Graham warned everybody of the site difficulty and asked £5 membership for a new address which we now have. He had to master a lot of IT 'gobbledegook' (mywords) to transfer all the certificate information to this new site which has a Chat room and a forum. I have 50 certificates (most my family and some superfluous) there and anybody seeking names should search there for their families and ask advice in the forum. Good luck to everyone in their quest. It's probably time I resumed my membership. I used it a lot at one point - and am certainly willing to pay £5 for something that doesn't crash and is useful. It's just that I joined Ancestry and found masses of stuff there to further my cause. I've actually got quite a bit to contribute again, now. Chrisitne
