Afraid you cant work it out because they are just in alphabetical order. If you can find them on a census somewhere and can see the wifes first name then with a bit of luck she will be the only one listed with that name on freebmd for the marriage date. |

If there are more women and less men or visa versa, then the others haven't yet been transcribed. You can sometimes work out who married who without buying the certificate, if you look for one of the men on a census after the marriage and see what his wife's first name is. Sometimes it is just a process of elimination. Kath. x |

When freeBMD is complete there should (for marriages) be 8 people to each page up to 1852 and 4 to a page after that. Any variances are either errors or where someone has their name entered twice because it was unclear as to the correct name or spelling. You cannot pair up the names unless you either buy a cert or go to the census records to see if you can work out who married who (quite often this is possible!). Sarah |

When I look up a marriage on BMD it says I can view others on page - sometimes this is three male/one female or one male/three female - how do I know who married who - or is it 'none of the above'? Thanks J.x |
