My great grandad fought in the first world war and he was given four medals. I have found out what they were all for except the last one. I think it may have been a bravery medal of some sort because my Gran has told me that he was given it because he was shot at. He survived because the bullet hit a coin that was in his pocket. Its a silver medal and the ribbon has got a lot of thin stripes that are coloured: blue, white, red, white, red, white and blue. Ive tried looking on Google for it but havent found it yet so if anyone knows any good websites or knows what it was given for and what it was called etc it would be a great help. Thanks Amy
