I have just found out after many years of searching, that my Grandparents came from N. Ireland and not Southern. Does anyone know of any BMD sites for N. Ireland or is this just as difficult as for the South? Thanks, Jacky

Joy, I did realise that but do you know when the divide was? Is there access to records before that date and to records for the north after? Jacky :-)

I myself have Irish roots and have tried various sites, but without much success. Does anyone know of any sites similar to 1837 online, where you can actually search an online database of Irish BMD's Damian

I think the Irish Free State (and Northern Ireland) came into being in 1922.
