Hi. What is the BVRI? That is to say, I know what it stands for but what is on it, where can I access it, and how can I use it to help me? Thanks, Sharon |

Hi Sharon. In answer to your question, It's a records index for england, ireland, scotland and wales. It contains approx 10.4 million birth and christening records plus 1.9 million marriage records. There are also church and civil records, the partial records date from approx 1530 to 1906, there two versions numbers 1 and 2 and are listed by counties. I hope this is of some help to answering your question Regards Joyce. |

Thank you! Although of course I may just have to post a lookup request or 3 now! Sharon |

With regard to Joyce's reply - version 2 includes all of version 1, so you don't need to ask for lookups on both! Best Wishes Sarah |
