Hi Kazzie, From when do you want to trace forward? There's a few ways, as in searching the St Catherines index at your local records office. This site is excellent for finding living relatives. Could you give me a few more details so I could help you more? Carol |

Do you have an area at least, if so then your sister could put a 'Trying to find' advert in the local paper Sam |

I find the b4u site very good and it does not cost anything, but not sure how upto date it is. http://www(.)b4u(.)co(.)uk/index(.)cfm remove the brackets Roy |

I used traceline to find my gran, cost about £25 ish pounds initially and I can't praise them enough. They trace people through their national health number and if they find them they tell you they have found them but give you no details. You then have to write them a letter, send it to traceline who then forward it on. If the person doesn't want any contact then thats up to them. http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/research/traceline/index.asp#0 Initially you have to ring them to get an application form. Rachel |

Kazzie, Sorry I didn't realise it was that recent. My Mother-in-law lost touch with her son for about twelve years and she paid the Salvation Army to look for him, which they did. They exchanged letters and went on from there. Worth a try. It cost about £30.00 I think, but obviously worth it. Hope it all works out, best wishes, Carol |

i'm not 100% sure but i think you go on the electoral roll at 16 but there is mark next to your name to indicate you're not 18 and i think it has your date of birth. Suppose this is to cover people who turn 18 between the times when electoral roll is taken |
