advise were to find old photos please

Hi, Another idea is to look on Ebay. Just type the town name in. You might find old postcards or old history books. I keep my town names in my searches section on Ebay so I can check very few days to see if there is anything new there. Have even bought old documents signed by one of my relatives on there. Try going to Google and searching Images. I put in Edmonton church and found a website with pictures (including old ones) of the churches and links to other websites. (But get the map as well - the detail is amazing and there will bee snippets of local history on the back)

Alan Godfrey does reprints of old ordnance survey maps a snip at £2.20 each. He has them for Edmonton for 1894 http://www.alangodfreymaps(.)co.uk/acatalog/London__Sheets_1_10.html Stanford's Map of 1862 just about reaches Edmonton http://www.motco(.)com/map/81006/ (remove brackets) Another map 6' to the mile OS map of 1894 to see it google images .. search for Edmonton UK dave

Hi All I have just been sent a letter by a cousin that tells me were my family lived in edmonton north north london in the late 1800 and early 1900s. I know you can get phots and maps of these areas but were do i start lokking please. I know these places are no longer there as there is now a supermarket and dual carriage way there.
