What info is on 1837online?

Hi I was wondering what info it has on 1837online? Im trying to find the parents of somebody b:c1847 will it show this? many thanxs lesley :~)

Hi Lesley, It is a pay per view site where you can look up births deaths and marriages etc. www.(1837online.comTrace2web) remove the brackets. You need to register and then buy credits. Just to start you off I would buy the least amount possible. Hope this helps

Lesley, You wont get the parent's names, all it gives is the childs name and the GRO reference number to enable you to buy the certificate. For births registered after 1911 you will also get the mother's maiden name. Have you tried the IGI at www.familysearch.org, you might be lucky and find a baptism record with the parents names on. Hello Lesley, Normally 1837, shows pages of names with the registratrtion District and volume no. and page no. and is the same infomation ,you can access on the FREEBMD site.but more up to date. No parents . However they now have the 1861 Census which would cover the period which you want. You would do better to ask for someone to lookfor the family on 1851 (if its available) or 1861 census. Jane I have the person on 1861 he is a servant not at home though, have asked for an 1851 and so far nobody can find him. Regards lesley :~)
