I couldn't find it in our Ordnance Survey Gazetteer. And i tried Googling with a few minuses to get rid of finishing/polishing, waves/water, racing, and the like. Got the hits down to 301 but nothing is looking likely: you'd expect at least one early on if a place exists. What is the context? Could it be a mis-reading or mis-transcription? Christine |
