Thank you valerie and Louise. I have already had a look on the website which I should have mentioned in my message. Sorry! I saw on there that it's possible to apply for a reader's pass in advance so that it's ready when you arrive at the library. I was wondering if it was worth doing this or if getting the pass on the day is a quick and easy thing to do? This is going to be my first records office visit and I think it's going to be quite daunting! Helen |

I think you will find you have to have a pass if you look at the site it tells you all the info you will need like having proof of who you are etc |

I've got one day to visit the reading rooms and a great deal of things to find out! So, I was wondering if anybody had already been and if you could tell me how user friendly the place is, how much I can reasonably expect to get done and if it's worth applying for a reader's pass before going to save time. Oh and anything else you think I should know! Thank you Helen |
