Stumbled across this site - about family history but also has lots of items about historic events in Sheffield. www*chrishobbs*com/ replace * with . nell

This is a great site if you want old photo's of Sheffield. You can use the search facility for street names etc. http://www.picturesheffield(.)com Take out the brackets.

thanks for that inform will check it out later. can i add another one which is sheffield indexers which is (sheff-indexers 1841 census) it shows the 1841 census indexed and gives all the folio nos etc which is very good. hilary.
