I am having a hard time locating the cemetery grave for an ancestor. The name is Colonel, Arthur Hugh Block born 1859 died aprox 1931. I am not sure where he died, but he was last attached to the Artillery in Wiltshire. Thanks

It will be on 1837, but as you dont know when or where it could be an expensive search which i doubt anyone would undertake for you jess

Thanks I did try 1837 online but I think it may have been playing up as when I typed that name in there were only a couple of results, but not the one you mentioned. Thanks for the info

What did you do on 1837. It will come up and give you each quarter in each year that you have specified. You would then have to open each page to see if the person you are looking for is there. Cannot understand how it only gave a couple of results, unless you only search over a 6 month period. Victor

Hi Almost Lass, Are you sure it wasn't Ancestry that you looked on as only two results come up on that. On 1837online, you don't get 'results' as such. You just look at each quarter of the year you want and it gives all deaths that were registered in that quarter anywhere in England or Wales. Kath. x
