Just clicked on my messages, to find that three of them have been deleted (not by me). They were all from the same person and were there earlier today. The person has also now been deleted from my contacts list! Has anyone else had this happen to them? Pam

This could mean that the person has a) been removed from the site, b) removed themselves from the site, or c) taken it upon themselves to delete all their postings. More likely to be a or b if they have gone from your contacts

Not sure thats how it works Jeanette. In my contacts list I still have 2 people (at least) that removed themselves from the site and 1 (at least) who has been removed. Bev

That may because they are pruning their Contacts list. I have been doing the same as I have over 12 pages of Contacts now, many of them having just been an exchange of pleasantries two years ago! I am trying to keep the ones to which I have a link. I believe that when you delete a contact it also deletes any messages which have passed between you too. Jim

I didn't know that Bev. Shows how much notice I take! lol But I think Jim has the answer

Someone I had contacted regarding a mutual interest deleted their tree and their messages, but I was able to resurrect the conversation (to prove to myself that I wasn't going mad!) via the contacts list.

Lisa, It was Sherlock's Child and I'm really hoping he hasn't deleted himself 'cos he's fed up with me! I inadvertently sent him on a bit of a wild goose chase yesterday by giving him some wrong info on a relative. Sherlock, if you're reading this I'm really, really really sorry! Pam
